The challenge we offer
At Saab, you have a great opportunity to grow and develop within our teams. In this role you will develop into Strategic Purchaser within one of our procurement teams. You will be part of a team driving the strategic agenda in relation to key suppliers and cutting-edge technology for Saab products and services.
Our Strategic Purchasers have an important role in development projects to drive sourcing activities and commercially sound decisions within each project. The responsibilities are to focus on long-term cost activities, set up supplier agreements, and continuously govern and improve cooperation with our suppliers. In your initial role as a graduate in our sourcing organisation, your role can either be linked towards sourcing, procurement analytics or development of the procurement function.
As a Strategic Purchaser you work within one of our procurement areas across Saab. You will be based on one of our sites in Gothenburg, Stockholm or Linköping.
Start date: August/September 2024.

We are looking for you who would like to develop a strong business understanding and acumen, with a drive to improve and challenge our business with a commercial and analytical approach. You have the ability to think and act strategically to reach our targets, and since your success is highly dependent on the close cooperation with internal stakeholders and suppliers, we believe that you are a true team player and great communicator.
Further we believe that you have:

Relevant university degree, ideally a Master in Engineering, Business administration or Legal

A keen interest of working with Procurement and Supply chain, preferably proven by work experience or university courses

Great commitment to support and generate energy to our teams
*
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation, verbally and in writing
*
Strong business acumen
*
Enjoy change and are able to drive change
*
You know the importance of building relationships both within and across functions
*
Fluent in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
