Then we have the perfect career opportunity for you! We are currently searching for recently graduated talents to become part of the Auxiliary System Control & Protection team at HVDC in Ludvika or Västerås, Sweden.
As a Commissioning Engineer for Auxiliary Systems, your journey will start with some months of training, where you will learn the code, MACH system, setting up the FST, and take part of our five-week onboarding journey 'Engineering Camp', where you in a practical way learn all the basic of the HVDC technology. You will also have the opportunity to shadow an experienced Commissioning Engineer that will teach and mentor you.
Once your onboarding training is completed, you will be part of a global team doing the testing and startup for HVDC converter stations all over the world. This means that you will be required to travel extensively for commissioning purposes. Your days will consist of tasks such as verifying that all control and protection functions are as specified and all signals are correctly received by the station control system, checking that Auxiliary power equipment is correctly installed, and contribute to various parts of project execution.
We are searching for you who are eager to start your career in commissioning and who is willing to take on the challenge to learn about the fascinating world of HVDC. It is important that you can collaborate and communicate well with others since you will interact with many stakeholders in your role. Your responsibilities
Actively take part of the initial training to acquire essential skills and learn about HVDC, commissioning, and Control & Protection.
Execute activities related to FST (Factory System Test) to verify the control and protection functions, and supervision meet design specifications.
Execute activities related to testing and commissioning work including responsibility for organizing test equipment at our sites around the world.
Preparing commissioning documentation, for example test records
Support in tender work for commissioning scope.

Your background
You recently graduated (or is about to graduate soon) with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline, such as electrical or electro engineering.
You have a good general technical understanding and are eager to learn more.
As a person you are enthusiastic, determined with a positive attitude.
You are comfortable to communicate in English both written and spoken.
