hela Sverige Product Unit Rotating Indexable Tools, within the Product Management and R&D organization at Sandvik Coromant, is responsible for development, introduction and maintenance of our portfolio of products and know-how. This spans everything from understanding customer and market needs, to the development, and ensuring a consistent implementation, of our offer. The Product Unit has the overall responsibility for the product life cycle, including knowledge development, product development and product maintenance. We are now looking to strengthen our team with a curious and driven Grade Manager within our Product Management area. The position is based in either Sandviken or Västberga, Stockholm. Key performance areas
In this role you can make a change where the real action is - the cutting edge. If you enjoy working "high and low", from strategic work down to the complexity of substrate and coating combinations, this is the job for you.
You are responsible for developing a clear and logical grade strategy within Milling and Drilling, supported by business cases and product positioning, and in coordination with Product Management. This includes full responsibility for the grade's life cycle management and a good understanding of our competitors and market trends. You understand the properties of the different grades, how they affect tool performance, and work closely with the R&D Grade Development team to bring the best possible offer to the market. You initiate and participate in grade development projects as well as evaluating the performance of grades at customer sites. Your work includes business potential for new grades and updating of development plans for existing grade portfolio. To analyze sales and profitability is also part of your responsibility, as is ensuring the availability of correct product information and accurate cutting data related to grades.
The role involves travel of up to 20% of your time.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Master of Science or equivalent experience gained from working within technical sales or product development. You have several years' experience within the field of metal cutting, and you understand grades from a technical perspective. As we operate globally, your communication skills in English are excellent, both verbally and in writing, as skills in Swedish are advantageous.

While you are strong in translating customer needs into strategies, you also possess a comprehensive technical drive; always willing to learn more and share your knowledge with others. We also value your broad analytical capabilities and as networking is a key part of this role, you have profound communication skills.
