Global Product Portfolio Manager Epiroc Drilling Tools

Mission
Ensure that RDT have a clearly defined product portfolio and product portfolio strategy including a constant inflow of new products aligned with customer requirements and market development. An important element of the mission is to align the product portfolio strategy with the Epiroc customer segmentation model.

Position objective
Lead the global product management team to safeguard that RDT have a clearly defined product portfolio with the overall objective to improve market share and grow the RDT business in a profitable way, while adding value to our customers operations.

Specific tasks and responsibilities
Develop and maintain the RDT Product portfolio strategy with focus on customer value, increase in customer share and improved profitability.
Safeguard that the RDT product portfolio is fully aligned with the Epiroc segmentation model and customer classification model
Lead and develop a team of highly competent and committed product managers and product specialist globally
Together with the team interpret the market requirements for the business and design a pipeline of products accordingly to support each customer segments.
Be responsible to brick wall and improve the UGP for the RDT product portfolio.
Manage the Product master specifications process ensuring a sound commercial platform for each project and successful design and implementation of same.
Implement KPIs for each RDT product and follow up on a regular basis
Ensure that product introduction is professionally handled involving the communication team at all stages of the project.
Agree with R&D on product development priorities and product improvement activities
Manage and secure the Product Life Cycle Management process (ensure new parts can replace old parts) within the product development group
Manage the product life cycle process in terms of discontinuing products with an overall value / cost perspective in mind
Work in strong collaboration with the Supply Chain organization to ensure that product availability targets are met with minimum capital tied up
The center point of all above actions is the RDT product portfolio, which should be constantly developed and communicated to all stakeholders within the organization.

This position requires international travelling

Knowledge & Experience requirements
The candidate will have a university degree in business or engineering
At least 5 years of relevant experience in Product Marketing and / or customer centre experience with good product knowledge.
Able to create buy in from the customer centres, divisional management team and R&D
Must be able to work in a collaborative capacity with all divisions and support organisations to develop and launch solutions that achieve the objective of growing our business.
Good knowledge of English along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Well organized and be able to operate on their own initiative.
As a team player he/she will share the information with their colleagues in an open and transparent way.

Results-oriented. Self-motivated and independent. Stuctured and disciplined. Creative with ability to think outside the box. Very good communication and motivational skills. To be successful in this role, you must achieve results through good cooperation with others. A structured way of working is vital. A strong interest in working in an international and multicultural environment. A proven track record of executing according to defined strategy and follow up.
