We are looking for a Global Privacy Leader to work with our expert Legal and Compliance team of 40 employees across the world. Do you have a passion for Privacy ? Then we would love to hear from you.

What you'll do
This role provides policy, regulatory & legal/compliance leadership and support on Global privacy matters (particularly US, EU and China) for the Cytiva operating company under Danaher and will be responsible for setting up and driving the overall global privacy program including providing expert advice, investigating potential issues, monitoring legal developments and leading projects to improve data protection.
Provide expert advice on healthcare, customer and employee privacy laws and regulations, with a particular emphasis on the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), US state and federal privacy laws including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), and related implementing rules and regulations.
Serve as a subject matter expert and resource by fielding and addressing inquiries from employees, and provide support in contract negotiations regarding data;
Work cross-functionally to investigate and resolve individual privacy compliance issues, customer inquiries, and data use and disclosure incidents by assessing causes, developing corrective actions, and ensuring consistent application of corrective actions.
Monitor legal developments and enforcement activities globally: Pro-actively assesses the risk profile with respect to compliance with data protection laws and policies and develops appropriate measures to address and mitigate the identified risks; Develops key strategies, and implements actions vis-à-vis privacy institutions and regulatory agencies.
Develop and maintain privacy & data protection compliance framework scorecard and metrics
Conduct periodic and as-needed evaluations and assessments of data privacy and security compliance.

Who you are
5+ years' experience at a large law firm, corporate legal department or in equivalent compliance function.
Deep knowledge of EU and US privacy laws, regulations and best practices.
Proven track record of project and process development, implementation and project management, with minimal supervision required.
Proven ability to function as a member of a global team in a complex, matrix environment.
Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving legal and regulatory issues quickly and effectively, with an ability to make real-time decisions.
Highly organized, computer literate, a self-starter, and good at managing and prioritizing numerous projects to meet demanding deadlines.
Comfortable working with senior managers: Executive influencing, clear & concise communication and presentation skills
Determined and with a "getting things done" mentality
Additional desired characteristics : JD, LLM or equivalent law degree / Experience in information security and/or privacy program management. Familiarity with healthcare privacy matters. Level-headed approach to risk and managing such risk against business objectives. Experience conducting internal audits. Experience with Training and course development. Familiar with Continuous Improvement methodologies. Familiar with Nymity software or similar
