www.gant.comGant now seeks a Graphic Designer with a strong creative feeling. The employment is on a project basis of 6 months duration in the company's design department. You will work together with the design team in developing new concepts for logos, labels, prints and pattern designs for the season's collections. The department is multi-lingual therefore you need to possess excellent English skills. It is also important that you have worked with the entire process, from concept and idea to artwork/original production. This position is a 6 month temporary employment.
Your background is from the clothing industry and it is a plus if you have worked with sportswear and/or casual wear before. You have had a similar role and can provide work samples of designed labels and logos. It is important that you have experience of how the design will be adapted on clothes and fabrics.
Education or graduation from a design school is a merit, but not a requirement. The Design department work in a Mac environment, and you should also have excellent skills in the Adobe programs, especially Illustrator.
As a person you are structured and focused on details. You also have strong social skills and the ability to manage stress. You like working in a team but are also capable of working independently. That you are efficient and accurate is a matter of course.
