Function Developer OBD (On-board Diagnostics)
The group Aftertreatment & Combustion OBD is responsible for OBD (On-board Diagnostics) monitors for misfire, catalyst, SCR, NOx absorber, DPF / GPF for conventional and hybrid vehicles. The deliveries cover the hole time frame from legal interpretation, creating monitoring concept, deliver software, calibration and validation down to follow up the field status from customers cars. We participate in expeditions to various places in the world to ensure robustness in different environments e.g. to warm and cold climates and on different altitudes.
The group consists of three teams, each responsible for a specific technical area. You will work in one of these teams of 6 people undertaking the challenge to develop diagnostic solutions that protect the environment, meet legal requirements and at the same time have maximum robustness to avoid causing customer disturbances. Our greatest asset, and top priority to maintain and develop, is world-class OBD competence applied to each technical area.

Main responsibilities
* Calibration and verification of diagnostic monitors
* Algorithm/Function development
* Perform tests in pre-production Test Vehicles, on road and on test tracks
* Define requirements for engine control systems
* Develop our state-of-the-art data analysis tools for efficient calibration/optimization
* Ensuring monitors fulfil legal compliance and robustness requirements
There are big possibilities to develop deep knowledge in a certain area or go wider and aim for a project/concept leader role.
Required qualifications
* M.Sc. in Mechatronics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent
* Extensive experience in mechatronic control systems, function requirements, diagnostics, calibration/optimization or software development
* Experience in Matlab/Simulink/Targetlink
* Driver's License (European B-level) and driving experience is mandatory
* Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
We consider it meritorious if you have previous work experience within the automotive industry with embedded control systems. Experience in calibration tools such as ATI Vision or ETAS Inca is a plus as well as software implementation and unit tests.
