Who are we looking for?
As a person you have a systematic and result-oriented approach to your work. You are focused, motivated and work independently within the given framework, as well as performing well in collaboration across the organization. You take responsibility for your assignments, are quality-conscious and meet agreed deadlines
You have experience in reading and writing maintainable code and you 're not only familiar, but quite skilled in several of the following relevant technologies and skills:
Python, Django
JavaScript (es6)
Linux, GIT
MySQL
Unit testing
HTML 5
CSS3
It is an advantage if you have knowledge about React, Material-UI and task runners, web-based 3D development and modelling. For instance, general WebGL and maps with CesiumJS.
Job Description
As a key member of the development team of the Leica ConX software business you will take part in bringing the web-based management system to the next generation. Leica ConX is a revolutionary product that offers our customers the possibility to monitor work on the construction site in real-time, plan work for the whole project duration, communicate with machines and machine operators and much more. You will create and deliver a world-class, cloud-based 3D environment that integrates the entire Leica portfolio of surveying and machine control technologies. Essentially, we are rewriting the main parts of the UI to embed new technologies like real-time 3D rendering through WebGL. This is an exciting journey for our software and all tasks require you to analyze and come up with solutions to problems of varying complexity. We rely on agile and lean methodologies to scope, plan, estimate and follow up on progress. With releases every third week you will be able to follow the product and the results.
