Would you like to work in an exciting, bilingual and intercultural school? Then we welcome your application to help us, together with other teachers, develop our after-school program. Engelska Skolan Norr was founded in 1993 and was one of the first free-schools to open in Sweden. We have a proud history of achievement and we are proud of our intercultural and bilingual heritage. Our values are built on these roots where we work strongly towards acceptance, tolerance and academic achievement.
Our after-school program works closely with the rest of the school and forms an important part of the education of students up to grade three. Our after-school program is organised by year group yet different year groups work together closely. We have developed our own curriculum for the after-school program which ensures we are continuously working towards the goals set by the Swedish ?läroplan?. Our after-school program also includes a chess club, weekly outings, a yearly summer camp as well as a host of other activities. Our student group as well as our staff group is very diverse which helps create a dynamic and exciting working atmosphere. We would like you to:
• Have the relevant qualifications (lärare mot fritdshem)
• Have a good working knowledge of the national curriculum (Lgr11)
• Have had experience in working in an after-school program (fritidshem)
• Have a working knowledge of both Swedish and English
• Have a passion and enthusiasm for education and working with children
• To have a flexible and open attitude to different ideas and ways of working
• To have strong values around anti discrimination and equal treatment
• To be focused on solving problems
• To enjoy your work!!
