You will be part of HVDC within the Power Systems division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Tasks: As FPGA Design Engineer at HVDC you will meet a challenging role with complex tasks. It will be your mission to develop FPGA designs with high requirements on performance and robustness. Example designs are high-speed buses, EtherCAT, Ethernet, PCIe, filters and control systems. If you want to work in an industrial environment with many parallel tasks, this position will suit you. We are working with prototype testing and productification in various projects in a modern lab environment. You will, with help of signal generators and other measuring instruments, also develop test setups and test benches.

Requirements: You hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering or higher, or corresponding experience from working with HVDC technology. You are accurate and have knowledge in professional developing processes and always produce within the given timeframe. You are flexible, trustworthy and skilled within the area and towards your coworkers.

The successful candidate has:
• experience from Xilinx, Altera or Lattice.
• experience from ModelSim or other HDL simulation tools.
• knowledge in VHDL and/or Verilog.
• experience from working in agile projects, such as SCRUM.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
