Over the coming years, the Port of Skellefteå will be investing approximately SEK 700 million to meet the markets growing needs by developing into a sustainable, state-of-the-art port. We will be investing in a new quay, tugboat, sidings, cranes and other unloading equipment. We are also planning new logistics areas, warehouses and other storage areas. The port accepts vessels for loading and unloading, as well as managing fairways and providing port assistance, infrastructure and icebreaking services.
The port is owned by Skellefteå Municipality and operated as part of the Planning and Community Development Department, which is responsible for and coordinates the building and maintenance of the ports infrastructure. Skellefteå Municipality is in an expansive phase of ongoing urban transformation and major investments, not least in port operations.

Publiceringsdatum2023-04-05ArbetsuppgifterAs financial coordinator, you will be an important piece of the puzzle as we develop our working methods and processes over the coming years. The job rests on three pillars: development, customer relations and finance. In terms of development, the position deals with developing and implementing new working methods and systems in the area of finance. Day-to-day financial tasks will include invoicing, compiling statistics, reporting key performance indicators, following up and tallying. Good customer relations are crucial to our business. The role involves considerable communication and coordination: to develop and finetune working methods and processes, in contacts with customers, and in the day-to-day operation of the workplace and organisation. Duties will be performed in close collaboration with the ports personnel and customers.
Your workplace will be located at the offices of the Port of Skellefteå in Skelleftehamn.
KvalifikationerThe successful candidate will have good practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of economics and find it easy to get to grips with new digital tools and systems. If you have experience of working in finance and accounting, or have previously been involved in developing working methods for financial, organisational or business systems, these will also be considered useful qualifications.
To succeed in the role, you will need to be meticulous, quality-conscious and driven. Creativity is an attribute that will come in useful when reimagining, innovating and putting ideas into practice. You are a capable collaborator with colleagues, customers and management and you thrive when you have the opportunity to be involved in finding new solutions to achieve common goals.
You are happy to share knowledge and information with others in a pedagogical and accessible manner and you are a skilled communicator in speech and writing. The job requires a good command of either Swedish and English, or preferably both.

The Planning and Community Development Department is responsible for ensuring that Skellefteås streets, public spaces, communities and residential areas function optimally for everyone who lives and works in the municipality. This includes planning, consultation, supervision and long-term development related to physical planning, streets and parks, transport and services, the emergency services, chimney sweeping, water and wastewater and refuge collection and processing.
