Financial Analyst - SA Communication Services BC, BDGS, Business Control Unit, BA Digital Services

Unit Overview

The vision of newly created Business Digital Services is to digitalize service providers through Cloud and Automation. BDGS is addressing a large, healthy, growing, and fragmented market, and is a targeted growth area for Ericsson. BDGS is organized in six solution areas combining products and services: 1) OSS, 2) BSS, 3) Packet Core, 4) Communication Services, 5) Cloud and Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure (NFVi), and, 6) Consulting and Application Development Management (ADM) (services only). These solution areas are supported by three cross functional units including Service Delivery, Business Support, and R&D, as well as various staff functions.
The Business Control Units' responsibility is to pro-actively support the BA Leadership Team & organization to reach both short term and long term financial targets with the objective of creating value for Ericsson. The Unit is also responsible to support CFO in safeguarding legal & regulatory compliance and being the guardians of shareholder value. In order to do so, the unit must secure internal financial performance-measurements are correct, complete and objective, so that the right conclusions can be drawn and appropriate actions taken.

Job Summary

This position will report to the Manager of Financial Analysis, within the Business Control function in Digital Services, actively contributing to the BU's total financial objectives.

Additionally, this position will specifically work with and support the SA unit and associated Business Controller to: review, analyze and report the Financial Progress and deliver actionable advice and recommendations based on findings to drive financial performance of the organizational unit. The financial analyst shall also coordinate and drive the short / mid-term financial planning process of the designate unit (forecast) in accordance with global standards.

The job responsibilities include:
• Secure business performance in period end closing
Drive closing process from an SA perspective, provide financial insights as well as corrective actions in order to secure quality
Provide feedback on closing quality issues to accountable units and drive resolutions

• Drive short / mid-term financial planning (forecast process)
Drive short/mid-term financial planning (including forecast) from an SA perspective with input from other functions including R&D, Supply, Sourcing, Service Delivery, Sales as well as SA
Perform forward looking financial predictive modeling/scenarios and influence known business decisions e2e in the fiscal and project period
Provide support during the financial planning process (Business Plan)
• Innovate and drive reporting and analytics solutions
Continuously improve and secure the content and the quality of financial governance reports
Drive adherence towards central management reporting
Assess the internal reporting requirements and benchmarking between relevant units, and drive expected outcomes for reporting frameworks and tools
• Influence performance improvements from business analysis
Provide forward looking recommendation based on current situational analysis
Follow up on P&L and support investments decisions with e.g. scenario modeling
Provide root cause analysis and suggested actions for improvement, proactively acting as an advisor towards stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
• University degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience from similar position within Ericsson or similar position at an external company.

• Position is located in Kista, Sweden, unless otherwise communicated.
• Fluent in English, both written & verbal
