Job Description Overview:
The Engineering Manager will be expected to stay at the forefront of industry standards and technological advancements. They will play a critical role in maintaining the company's reputation for high-quality medical device production and will be instrumental in upholding the company's commitment to safety and compliance.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company not only meets but exceeds the stringent requirements of medical device manufacturing, making a significant impact on the quality of patient care. The Engineering Manager will be a champion of change, driving operational excellence and leading their team towards achieving operational goals and objectives.
Job Description Details:
- Lead the introduction of new medical device products into the operations workflow.
- Develop innovative solutions to enhance existing production processes.
- Maintain rigorous adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance across all operational levels.
- Ensure the maintenance of production processes to uphold product quality and reliability.
- Actively promote Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards within the workplace.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with company objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Critical Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years qualified experience of relevant area and of leading production function.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Commitment to EHS principles and a track record of implementing safety practices.
- Proven experience in engineering management within the medical device manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of GMP and its application in medical device production.
- Experience from production engineering in regulated industry, such as medical, lean production and global working environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Critical Skills:
- Profound knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to apply them to production processes development.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate a team, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve operational challenges.
- A thorough understanding of GMP compliance and quality control measures in medical device manufacturing.
- Commitment to Environmental Health and Safety standards and promoting a culture of safety.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with stakeholders.
- A mindset geared towards continuous improvement, seeking to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
