You have a master's in computer science or similar, as well as some experience from management positions involving close teamwork. You're also familiar with software development. You're an enthusiastic person, and you can also generate enthusiasm in those you work with - at every level. You're also an open-minded, cooperative person who is comfortable leading people and taking responsibility.
THE SUBSCRIBER TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
The Subscriber Technology Services team develops and is responsible for the ST System as well as development support to ST System operators that provide large-scale surveillance and monitoring solutions mainly for the small business market. The team works closely with many types of partners, such as ISPs, system integrators and security operators.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As engineering manager in the STS team you will have the opportunity to work with highly dynamic and to a large degree customer driven system development. Key technical challenges for the team include scalability, bandwidth management, installation procedure, firewall and NAT handling, management and maintenance of large number of subscribers.
As the manager of this team, your main responsibilities will involve:
• Resource allocation
• Recruitment
• Budgeting
• Goal-setting
• Performance reviews
• Coaching of personnel
• Product roadmapping
• Running the day-to-day operations
• Seeing that tasks, goals and vision are fulfilled.
