hela Sverige Are you a leader passionate about innovation and empowering teams? We're seeking an Engineering Manager to lead Core Technologies Graphics at our HQ in Lund.
Who is your future team?
Core Technologies within Axis R&D is an organization that drives, innovates, and provides key technologies to Axis future products and solutions. The Core Technologies Graphics team was formed eleven years ago with the mission to enrich our products with graphics related features running on dedicated HW in our cameras.
The graphics area continues to grow, and we are therefore dividing the team in two to build a foundation for the future. We are now looking for an Engineering Manager that will take on one of the teams.
You will lead a team of 10+ highly skilled engineers ranging from newly graduated to expert level. The team has successfully added a multitude of functionality, features and applications to the Axis cameras, such as live privacy (
https://www.axis.com/products/axis-live-privacy-shield) and the overlay framework supporting numerous features. The work is carried out in tight collaboration with Axis' product organizations and sales organization, as well as directly towards our customers and partners. Innovation and a creative work environment are key, as well as keeping the tight and positive team spirit that this team is well known for.
The two graphics teams will continue to work closely together and share resources as well as activities. To achieve this, you will work closely with the manager of the other graphics team, as well as with the lead engineer and project managers.
What will you do here?
As a manager for this team your main tasks will be:
* Lead the team and individuals in their daily work. Help everyone perform at their best while feeling supported and valued in what they do as well as take responsibility for their tasks.
* Own and drive the long- and short-term agendas for the team, from strategies to daily planning.
* Interact with Axis' customers and product organizations to make sure we understand their requests and they our deliveries, negotiate if needed, and conclude and drive the way forward towards successful products.
* Arrange ways for the team to be innovative and creative, and via that form the next steps for the years to come.
* Identify and set up projects or activities around new tasks and requests, make sure the scope and requirements are clear and that each project has sufficient staffing, planning and efficiency.
* Develop your team and its members related to both the needs of the company, in balance with the needs of every individual.
* Develop the team, its culture and ways of working.
* Perform standard management tasks like development talks, salary setting, budgeting, etc.

You fulfill the following criteria:
* Several years of leadership experience, preferably as a manager in a technology centric organization.
* Strong track record of managing teams in the technical forefront, preferably in close customer interaction.
* Up to date with modern development methods and an interest to continuously improve your team's ways of working.
* Up to date with and an interest in methods to manage innovation and creativity.
* Proficient in written and spoken Swedish and English.
Last and most important you have a proven successful track record in working with, leading and developing people. You have a genuine interest in your team and its members and are known for that. As a person you are seen as positive and emphatic, combined with the ability to negotiate and make decisions when needed.
