We are now recruiting for two positions:
POSITION 1: ELECTRONICS MAINTENANCE ENGINEER We are looking for an experienced electronics engineer with a genuine interest in understand and solving tricky problems that could exist in our products. As part of the Hardware maintenance team you will participate in solving issues detected at customers or in production but also work with product improvements.
Your main tasks will be to:
Find solutions on electronic problems found at customers or in production.
Perform root case analyses (RCA) on returned units.
Perform cost down activities on existing products
Perform design improvements on existing products
Secure second source on important components
Find replacements for components that reaches end of life
Support other functions in solving problems
The work will in many cases involve close cooperation with other functions e.g. SW design, production people, mechanical engineers, product specialists etc. You will also handle contacts with component distributors, subcontractors and manufacturers.
POSITION 2: ELECTRICS DESIGN ENGINEER As part of an Electronics team you will participate in both product development projects targeting our current generation of products as well as study new hardware technologies that will fit into our next generation of products.
Your main tasks will be to:
Perform feasibility studies of the electronic design
Evaluate and select suitable components
Create electronic design schematics
Support our EMS partners with prototype production
Perform tests and verifications of the electronic design
Handle regulatory approvals (EMC and safety)
Create production documentation
The electronic design will be done in close cooperation with PCB CAD engineers, software engineers and mechanical engineers in order to create an optimal hardware design and high quality products. You will also work together with the Operations department, assisting in production start up and optimization work as well as handle contacts with component distributors, subcontractors and manufacturers. The role covers a broad variety of electronics design challenges and you will be responsible for the electronics design in the project from start to finish.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for an open minded and driven individual who work efficiently both individually with limited supervision as well as within a team of other skilled engineers. We believe you have at least a Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering and have good understanding of product design combined with good knowledge within production.
You have professional experience from working with product development from early stages of conceptual design, through the design and verification phase as well as final EMC and regulatory approvals. Designing electronics in schematic capture programs, hands-on verification of the electronics design in advanced lab environment is part of your everyday business. Experience from product development targeted for high volume production will be considered as a plus.
You are expected to have a good understanding of other areas within engineering and the ability to collaborate with other disciplines such as software and mechanical design teams. Whenever needed you are also comfortable in taking a lead position in the design team and help others with planning and solving any issues in a proactive and efficient way.
We believe that you are a highly motivated and outgoing person with good communication skills in both English and Swedish.
