Being the largest manufacturer of motors in Sweden, Xylem design and manufacture motors adapted specially for use in our products. Most industries see a shift towards more efficient systems and high efficiency. A change from asynchronous motors to motors run with variable frequency is important in achieving this.
Here at Xylem we have started to replace the traditional asynchronous motor with new PM motors with integrated embedded drives and to strengthen our Motor Group we are now looking for a Motor Design Engineer.

• Product development projects

• Building and testing prototypes
• Implementation in production
• Support internal customers with technical issues
You will be a part of Xylem 's Electrical Engineering R&D unit in Sundbyberg and also work closely together with other development units within for example hydraulics, mechanics, manufacturing and purchasing.
Qualifications
Suitable background for this role is an Electrical/Electronic Engineer with an MSc or PhD in the field of motors and drives and with experience in designing electric motors with experience in using CAD tools such as FLUX or FluxMotor.
Excellent skills in English, both oral and written, are essential to perform this work as part of a global company. Communication skills in Swedish are a plus.
Personal characteristics
You recognize yourself in our core competencies - continuous improvement mind-set, inspiring accountability and cross-boundary collaboration - which are a contributing factor to the company 's success. We are looking for a candidate that can work independently, plan and drive the development and also deliver according to expectation, on time and on quality.
Our work environment encourages open dialogues and a continuous improvement mind set.
