Next generation Mobile commerce (M-commerce), including mobile payments and person-to-person money transfer, are expected to be areas of high growth over the next 2-3 years, providing a substantial global market potential - for us and our customers. Ericsson aims to take a leading global position in this new business and move up the value chain by offering both solutions and interconnect services towards the different actors in the Eco-System.
Qualifications:
• You will support a subject matter expert to help develop M-commerce business proposition for key clients including Mobile Operators, Banks and other financial institutions
• Work with the regional sales teams to create a business plan, go-to-market strategy for defined markets, areas and customer segments and actively participate in engagements to win contracts
• In close collaboration with other units within M-commerce and Business Unit, identify and recommend actions and solutions that are essential for long term success
• Learn the competitive landscape in M-commerce area and use that knowhow to position Ericsson and propose new ideas how Ericsson can strengthen its position
• Creating financial business cases and models.
To join the Ericsson Excellerate Global Leadership Program you require:
• 2 degrees and one of them a master's degree in either business, marketing or economics.
• 2-4 years of relevant professional experience of which at least one year in a Product Manager, Business development or Sales role preferably within the areas of mobile payments, mobile money, retail banking and pre-paid cards
• Some experience and understanding of M-commerce eco-system, preferably from transactional services, e.g. from the credit card or money transfer sectors
• The ability to identify and analyze the M- commerce industry and associated business challenges and identify value propositions for customers and specific markets
• A global attitude, willingness to relocate internationally
• The desire and the ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Interest in experimentation and innovation, an ability to think creatively and "outside the box"
• Self-esteem, self-knowledge, social ability and an interest and potential in leading other people
• Strong leadership and communication skills and fluent in English
• Fluency in French, Spanish or Arabic will be beneficial
• To be early adopters and enjoy using the latest technologies within Software and Business Development.
The person we are looking for should be goal oriented and able to contribute to the Ericsson M-Commerce strategy and achievement of our business objectives. You have a consultative business approach and know how to inspire business dialogues and build trust.
The role reports to the Head of Global Sales for M-commerce and will initially be based in South Africa and a few other regional locations and final location will be defined and agreed during the program.
