Solution Center Common PRD Solution
The Solution Center PRD (?Produce and Distribute Products?) Architecture & Common PRD Solutions manages the delivery of EPTS and EDI IT solutions in the Volvo Group. The function is also responsible for the PRDs overall IT architecture and support roadmap design and long term plan in the PRD area. The function is staffed with 25 own resources and 50-60 internal and external consultants.
We are now looking for a Director ? Solution Center PRD Architecture & Common PRD Solutions
In this role you will be reporting to the VP SDU PRD and be part of the PRD management team.
Role mission & context
You will be responsibile for all the deliveries on the subportfolios of the unit, line management and runtime deliveries.
Key responsibilities
• People management and development for your function
• Full life-cycle responsibility for IT portfolio solutions
• Actively contribute in Long Term Planning and Solution Roadmap Development
• Understand and estimate efforts for ND/EN business requirements
• Drive decommissioning according to solution roadmap
• Ensure effective ?end-to-end ? solution delivery and support
• Manage and report runtime costs and service levels
• Resource management to support the solution roadmap
• Represent the PRD Unit in various steering committees
• Drive implementation of methods, processes and tools
• Vendor management for software suppliers
• External sourcing of work packages from system integrators and follow-up the delivery
• Within the domain:
o Promote cross TD/BA synergies and secure synergies with external business
o Promote and champion innovation
o Drive development according to external market intelligence (trends etc)
• Solution architecture hosting, secure E2E design across PRD

Required competencies
• Relevant university degree
• Minimum five years of senior management experience
• Experience as line manager
• Knowledge about the customers and solutions in scope of the unit
• Experience from the PRD functional domain
• Experience from working in a IT delivery organization (project, runtime) including solid knowledge about methods used
• Experience from leading in a global context
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Complete proficiency in English
• Experience and understanding of Volvo Group IT processes of at least two years
