ABOUT US

Group Real Estate is an integrated function in the Volvo Group, with strategic and operational responsibility for the Group's properties and real estate assets as well as for facility management. We are responsible for the entire property lifecycle, from acquisition to divestment. We optimize the use and value of the Volvo Group's facilities, owned and leased. We act as a center of expertise, generating economies of skill and scale in the real estate area. The Volvo Group values are our guiding stars in everything we do, e.g. develop an attractive workplace for the Volvo Group's employees worldwide. We are approximately 300 employees supporting Volvo Group in 60 countries worldwide. Our property footprint consists of some 1000 sites, both leased and owned. We manage all types of properties: dealers, workshops, offices, warehouses, production facilities and more.

Join the Region Europe Central East & East team, a highly engaged group of property managers and project leaders. Our team members are based in different countries in the region.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Director for Region Central East & East, you'll be a proactive business partner, actively contributing to all aspects of the Real Estate processes. Your role includes serving as a line manager for the resources in the region, where you'll lead and develop your team members while driving continuous improvement. Reporting to the VP of Europe North Division, you'll be an integral part of the management team.

Key Responsibilities:
Take accountability for Group Real Estate's operational and financial responsibilities at designated sites, including property management, projects, investments, divestments, leases, masterplans, and meeting stakeholder demands at a tactical level.
Preserve the operation and value of Volvo's properties/facilities at the site level, including overall budget responsibility and thorough monitoring of costs and projects.
Support Volvo Group's present and future needs by initiating and executing property projects.
Ensure effective communication with tenants, landlords, and suppliers, providing advice, proposals, and project management services that align business needs with local colleagues and stakeholders.
As a line manager, embody Volvo Group's leadership principles, actively fostering engagement, competence, and proactive teamwork within the regional team.

Additionally, we expect you to lead the way in our continuous improvement journey to achieve our target image.

To excel in your new role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that equips you with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in real estate and facility management.
Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a genuine appreciation for the value of diversity within teams.
Proven experience in successfully managing and driving change initiatives, recognizing the importance of adaptability to remain competitive.
Strong business acumen coupled with customer-centricity, demonstrating a results-oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global organization while engaging with a diverse set of stakeholders.
An natural ability to identify opportunities in every task you undertake.
