Global Logistics is the central organization responsible for the planning, ordering and distribution of Volvo Penta Engines, Drive Components and Accessories. Global Logistics is also responsible for the complete Sales & Operations Planning process.
In this role you are responsible for the Volvo Penta's order planning and order promising. You have the managerial responsibility for personnel belonging to the Order Planning team (currently known as the Supply Chain Coordination team). You collaborate across the supply chain with front office colleagues in Penta's sales organization as well as our production sites and warehouses plus with other parts of the central Volvo Penta logistics team.
The Director Order Planning position is to be located in Gothenburg and reports directly to the Vice President Logistics.
Key responsibilities:
Personnel responsibility for the Order Planning team (previously Supply Chain Coordination team).
Overall responsibility for managing incoming orders from markets e.g. planning, promising and handling orders.
Responsibility for the operational efficiency and quality within the order planning scope.
Responsibility for budget and expenses.
Responsibility for an efficient and proactive communication to the markets.
Responsibility for initiation of corrective actions in order to mitigate negative effects of deviations.
Measure, follow and act proactively upon major KPIs ' such as delivery precision and order handling time.
Responsibility for continuous improvements in the operations and processes.
Responsibility for competence development of the group.
Member of the Penta Logistics management team.
Qualifications:
You have strong communication and relationship-building skills. You have clear customer and quality focus as well as good organizing and analytical skills. As a leader you are inclusive and inspiring to all your colleagues and stakeholders. You have great understanding of lean, and drive end to end process improvements to secure customer and business success.
You hold a university degree in engineering or equivalent and have experience of working in a logistics environment. We also believe you have a proven track record of handling and leading change in a successful way.
You will be working in a global environment with international contacts with a fantastic opportunity to extend your network and build your competence.
