Electrolux is accelerating its transformation to a consumer-oriented organisation with a strong focus on growth. Purchasing is engaged to support that. The Product Line Purchasing structure opens up for a deep cross-functional, international collaboration with stakeholders worldwide.
To facilitate and synchronize the roll out of common processes and methods in Group Purchasing an empowered, independent guidance and co-ordination is needed. The senior program director will lead a dedicated team of program management experts to successfully support Group Product Line and Group Categories Purchasing to prioritize programs and initiatives, to track progress on roll- out and execution of these. Furthermore, s/he shall ensure that the program team acts as a creative platform for the building documentation, sharing of experiences and action plans. Managing this volatility requires a flexible mind-set both from the leader and team members.
We look for a leader, who is very well organized and open-minded, who has proven track record of being an influencer to inspire the relevant stakeholders in the global organisation. We look for a person who understands the impact of purchasing on and who is inspired by co-delivering with different functions and levels in the organisation. Regular exposure to the top management of the Group Operations implies a capability to interact with senior decision makers. We believe the right candidate is self-motivated, enjoys embarking into future-looking territories while demonstrating resilience and high level of ownership to deliver the expected outcomes.
The span of control is very relevant and exciting and requires a broad purchasing experience as well as interest in new IT-technologies.
Tasks:
• Allocation of the resources both human and financial to secure a good synchronization of all purchasing disciplines in focus.
• For every element of the projects and programs, relevant metrics (KPI's), documentation and dashboards are to be developed and regularly reported to the Purchasing Leadership Team (PLT).
• Advise the PLT on steps to take and who to involve to maximise impact and deliver effectively.
• Ensures to keep the Purchasing Leadership Team focused, and all disciplines, together with their respective leaders honour their commitments
• Together with the team members, works on the development of new ideas and solutions.
Qualifications:
• As this is an important, decision-making position, enough years of experience in a multinational environment are needed where an awareness of cultural differences was developed.
• Experience of interacting with senior leaders of a company.
• A proven track record of successfully leading an international team of highly educated and motivated people with traceable records of the positive results delivered.
• Capability to develop solutions together with the team while connecting to and including the relevant stakeholders.
• For this program role priority management, budget management, team capability building, resource allocation, program follow-up and progress reporting are mandatory.
• Fluent in English. Any other language(s) are an asset.
