About the job
In this position, you manage the CIO Office and lead the cross-functional management of information and technology at Seco Tools. You work as the right hand for the VP of IT at Seco Tools and have three main areas of responsibility which are strategic execution, operational excellence and enterprise architecture. You drive and deliver the bi-yearly update of our technology change agenda, as well as lead and strengthen our IT strategy, governance and performance management in related functions. You're responsible for the establishment and continuous improvement of a portfolio of IT initiatives and purchasing capabilities.
Your role includes leading, guiding and coaching experienced IT leaders and professionals in the CIO Office. You collaborate with various business functions, IT functions and teams on both Business Area and Sandvik Group level. You play an important role in driving focus and prioritization to ensure successful execution of our digital shift strategy. In the management aspect there is also a financial responsibility.
You report to the Vice President of IT at and are a member of our IT management team. The location for this position is flexible within our footprint in Europe and allows for a hybrid working schedule. Regular visits to Seco Tools offices and international travel is a natural part of the job.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with a degree in IT, business, engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience. You have several years of experience working within IT, as well as experience of team management and taking leadership responsibilities - you're comfortable addressing and influencing senior-level management and other key stakeholders. You have a broad knowledge and understanding of the IT domain, agile ways of working and you also have a natural interest in keeping yourself updated on emerging technologies while fostering an innovative use of technology across the organization. Working in a truly global company calls for excellent communication skills in English, verbally and in writing.
You're an experienced, inspiring and inclusive leader who enjoys taking ownership and create engagement. You're structured, analytical and use agile ways of working - you're able to solve problems and make decisions in uncertain business situations. With your business and solution-oriented mindset, you're self-motivated and able to drive things forward. You're used to work in a de-centralized, global set-up and have good cultural awareness - you communicate effectively and build trusting networks across cultural borders and at all levels of our global organization.
