Are you ready to join our team, Volvo Penta Digital & IT Data Acceleration, and make the future awesome? We are hiring a Digital Product Manager (DPM) with the mission to help us grow our capabilities in the areas of Data Analytics & BI.
As Digital Product Manager for Data Analytics & BI, you will take ownership of the intersection between business, technology, and user experience. You understand the end user, customer, and business needs, utilizing user journeys and design thinking to secure the digital product brings continuous value. You optimize the digital product to achieve the business goals while maximizing return on investment. Aligned with the business strategy you will manage and evolve the digital product including vision, strategy, goals, roadmap, and budget through the lifetime of the digital initiative.
The position is based at Volvo Penta headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. Occasional travel outside Gothenburg is expected.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Define digital product vision, strategy, goals, and roadmaps.
Drive planning cycle for digital product, including roadmap, resource needs and budget required according to One Rhythm.
Secure that business & digital initiative strategy and goals are visualized and well understood.
Maintain overview of digital products offered within digital product area and ensure business flow is adequately supported.
Manage and lead interactions with stakeholders and end users while cultivating strong collaboration and teamwork.
Regularly collect feedback on implemented work through measures, analytics, and end user input.
Ensure the entire user experience are designed with the user at the center and secure the digital product brings continuous value.
Provide thorough analysis and insights of market, technology, digital product trends and the competitive landscape.
Identify dependencies, including on stable teams and individual contributors.
Ensure digital products fulfill all legal, compliance and security requirements.
Secure release and roll-out plan, including change management and training approach.
Identify successes, issues, risks, and potential actions to be escalated.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Strong knowledge and experience in Data Analytics, business intelligence, data visualization, and related tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, Databricks, Knime, Power BI, or similar
Ability to think strategically and align Data Analytics and BI initiatives with business goals, developing a long-term vision and roadmap for leveraging data to drive insights and decision-making
Familiarity with the manufacturing industry, including an understanding of manufacturing processes
Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment
Excellent communication and change management skills
Strong understanding of agile development methodologies
Proficient in English, both verbal and written
A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and emerging technologies relevant to the role
