TRATON R&D
The TRATON Research & Development (R&D) organization is going through a major transformation with the target to become an even stronger Group by completing the establishment of a worldwide Group R&D organization. We will set ourselves up to be able to fully deliver the time-critical Group R&D roadmap and to fulfil the high expectations to deliver outstanding customer value and drive effectiveness. This enables us to secure competitiveness in our business, in other words, win market positions and ensure Group R&D is a strong business partner for TRATON Group and the brands (Scania, MAN, INTERNATIONAL, Volkswagen Truck & Bus).
Autonomous Transport plays a central role in this transformation. We are now looking for a new colleague within Autonomous Transport who wants to join us in building the platform that powers autonomous vehicle control and monitoring.

About us
We are part of the Development Environment and Tools section within TRATON Group Research & Development. Our focus is to develop cloud-based systems (AWS) that ensure automated, optimized, and safe control and monitoring of autonomous vehicles. All of this is built into one unified platform - and we'd love your help to take it even further.
Your tasks
We're expanding our Development Platform team and are looking for someone who wants to help build the infrastructure for our off-board software (technology operating outside the vehicle). In this role, you'll be central to building and managing the cloud-based backbone of our autonomous vehicle platform using modern DevOps tools and practices.
Your mission is to:
* Design, build, and maintain scalable platforms for reliable applications using tools such as Kubernetes, AWS, AWS CDK, Cilium, GitLab CI/CD, Crossplane, IAM, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate technologies smoothly into our ecosystem.
* Take part in the full software lifecycle - from idea and development to deployment and maintenance.
* Solve complex technical challenges with a focus on performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Your qualification
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and exploring new ideas. You are proactive, curious, and comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment.
You are structured, analytical, and take security seriously. You thrive in a team setting, value clear communication, and are driven by delivering high-quality results. Your passion lies in platform technology, automation, and DevSecOps.
We think you'll need:
* Solid work experience with Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
* A degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* It's a bonus if you've worked with identity and access management (IAM) tools like Keycloak.
Familiarity with any of the following is highly beneficial:
Terraform, Terragrunt, Karpenter, Crossplane, DynamoDB, Grafana, Tempo, Loki, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ArgoCD, GitLab pipelines, Python, Bash, Go, Apache Kafka, Cilium, Redis.
