hela Sverige We are looking for a Device Technology Expert to join the Devices team, part of the Telia Company Group Technology organization. The team is vital for our markets to secure that our mobile devices work well in our networks but also imperative to our future bets, for instance IoT, 5G and the evolving use-cases the new technology brings like Industry 4.0, Enterprise Mobile Networks, Network slicing and Fixed Wireless Access.
The Device team works with all our different Nordic/Baltic markets and the mission is to leverage and strengthen the value of Telia Company being a Group by setting direction, being a skill hub and capturing scale & synergies.

We see a need to strengthen the radio interface quality assurance process related to devices with cellular connectivity and are looking for a device expert with proven experience of developing working methods, analytics, and tools to secure quality of devices. You will be a member of the central Devices team in Telia Company, working closely with all our business units in the Nordics and Baltics, our network team and our external partners. Preferred placement is Stockholm-Solna but we're flexible if you are the right candidate. The position will require some travelling within Baltics and Nordics.
In the team you will be responsible for:
Performing and securing device verification activities with automation tool and leading device trouble shooting activities
Securing that we have a close collaboration with our device and module vendors when it comes to testing and implementation of new network technologies.
Closely interact with our business units, supporting with expert device technology knowledge, to secure customer experience and quality assurance for our end-customers
Defining and creating harmonized device requirements for all Telia markets with basis in 3GPP and GSMA specifications.
Actively participating in Network Architecture work for existing and emerging technologies such as IoT and 5G, being the key contributor from a device perspective.
Driving, guiding and assisting the country device technical managers within the area of verification, debugging and problem handling.
Contributing to Device verification best practice cross Telia Group, both for existing and emerging technologies such as IoT and 5G.
Is this you?
We expect that you have relevant experience from the cellular device business. You have a good understanding of the different players in the market and a passion for continual improvement to give our customers the best-in-class network experience. To achieve this, it's natural for you to use different methods for quality assurance including data analytics and engaging with device vendors for joint activities.
We are looking for someone with a service-oriented mindset, willing to be active in design, verification, and operational aspects of our services.
Your knowledge:
M. Sc. Degree in Engineering or equivalent education
In-Depth knowledge of Quality Assurance related to Devices
Senior/Expert knowledge in Cellular technologies and subject matters, in relation to relevant 3GPP and GSMA specifications is a must
Good experience in IMS, IR91, IR94 and IR51
Senior/Expert knowledge level of cellular (2G/3G/4G/5G) signaling and procedures from a device perspective (PHY-NAS)
Hands-on advanced knowledge of cellular modem tracing/debugging using industry standard tools such as QXDM
Fluent English, both in writing and orally
Good overview and understanding of the devices and handsets market and trends like Industry 4.0 and FWA
Good knowledge in writing scripts (E.g. batch, pearl, python).

Your Experience:
Technical experience from the cellular device area, your previous employer is probably a Device OEM/ODM, cellular modem vendor, a mobile operator or similar.
Experience in field-testing, advanced log and network trace analysis and troubleshooting in cross-functional teams
Strong strategic skills and experience from data analytics
Experience of organizational development and external partner interaction
International exposure, working with stakeholders and customers in different markets.
Experience of AT Commands and/or Android RIL is an advantage
Experience of SAFe framework is an advantage.
