Do you want to take part in the development of our future packaging material?
Development & Service Operations (DSO) is one of three operating units in Tetra Pak. The organization is formed around areas of expertise: Strategy & Planning, Packaging Technology, Packaging Material and three Packaging Platforms. This position can be found within Material Analysis which belongs to the Packaging Material organization. Material Analysis supports the organization with capabilities mainly regarding material evaluations and packaging material test methods.
In the role as Development Engineer you will be responsible to develop and maintain test methods used in our converting factories and packaging material development projects. You will interact with our factories, the platforms within DSO, the supplier management organisation and internal development projects within DSO Packaging Material.
This position is based in Lund and requires up to 10 % of travelling.
Main responsibilities
• Participate in projects with the responsibility of test method development
• Drive development of new test methodologies and improvements
• Industrialise methods/methodology in order for our converting factories to use them
• Specify and buy tools and equipment when required in the development work
• Work cross-functional in the organization to deliver methods at the right quality level
Publiceringsdatum2011-12-11KvalifikationerYou have a University degree within engineering physics or chemical engineering and at least 3 years of work experience in method development and material characterisation. You also have good knowledge in statistics and basic project management skills.
The successful candidate has an innovative as well as an analytical mindset. You have the ability to take ownership and drive tasks for result and at the same time help others to develop in close collaboration. You will need to be an excellent communicator and fluent in both written and spoken English.
