One of the roles we're looking for is an experienced developer to join our HQ in Växjö.
Who we are
IST Group is one of the largest suppliers of solutions and services for schools and pre-schools in the Nordic region with over half of the municipalities in Denmark, Norway and Sweden as customers. We are 450 employees spread over nine offices in four countries.
Our key objective is to empower the learning process by providing schools with the IT solutions and services needed to make the most of the time, money and resources invested. With everything we do, we aim to deliver the best possible value and experience to our users, parents, teachers, students, and administrators.
Business Unit Products is the department within the IST Group that produces our next generation of administrative software for the school and childcare domain. Our products' helps the staff, students and parents through responsiveness and automation to enable them to spend more time on what's important, to Learn More.
Business Unit Products always strives for continuous improvement, of both our processes and products. We encourage an innovative mind-set and distributed responsibilities to trigger an engagement in each individual and teams, and thereby enabling development of the individual and their profession.
About the job
You will join the development department and one of our cross functional development teams consisting of developers, testers, a tech lead and a product owner. We believe in self organizing teams which will give you both freedom, responsibility and involvement while developing you team's systems - making work technically challenging and fun for all!
We strive for a truly innovative culture and have multiple activities or methods to boost innovation. We are using modern technologies such as Docker, Rancher/Kubernetes, Vue.js, Octopus Deploy and are constantly evaluating our next improvements!
Who you are
You have experience in Java - or similar languages but are willing to learn. Our tech stack also includes Spring, Hibernate, Junit, Tomcat, Oracle and more.
We have a microservices architecture, so knowledge of events and REST APIs are desirable, and with our web-based nature you are also willing to learn related front-end technologies.
You enjoy working in a team - as a team - and like us, you really believe in the agile methodologies and processes.
We believe you have good communication skills and not only like to contribute to your team and the people around you but also to the organization as a whole. As a person you show great responsibility, tend to make things happen and you welcome change. We expect you to enjoy being part of an agile and healthy changing environment.

• Java 8+
• REST

• System and solution architecture
