You will be part of Components in Ludvika. We manufacture products, tap changers and bushings aimed for transformers. We operate on a global market with both ABB and external customers. We are the Technical Lead Center globally for our products and in Ludvika we are in charge of product development and manufacturing. We are today approximately 400 coworkers.
Challenge: As Design Manager for Bushings you will be part of our department's management team and lead a group of approximately 15 engineers. You will plan, coordinate and support their daily activities in areas such as order design, product care and updating of current products and product structures. Additional work areas where your support will be needed are during technical investigations as well as in qualification processes of new articles and suppliers. It will also be your responsibility to evaluate, develop and improve work methods. This is a networking role where you will be in the midst of our business and have both internal and external contacts. An important part of your work will be to motivate and coach our coworkers and ensure that common goals are clear and the unit's work is progressing in the right direction. With documented leadership experience and a deep understanding of our products and processes, you will have great opportunities to grow professionally within ABB.
Requirements: You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering and knowledge of High Voltage products. Documented training in leadership is also found on your CV, and if you have applied these skills in a leading position it is highly appreciated. Knowledge of power products, Lean and computer tools such as ProE, PDM Link and ERP LN is qualifying. On a personal level you are confident, have high integrity and feel comfortable in a leading position. It is vital that you are a positive and responsive leader, who not only understand your colleagues' needs, but who also can make decisions when situations demand it. This calls for strong interpersonal skills and the ability to express yourself clearly.
