The role
If picking up the challenge, you will be part of our product development department as a Design Engineer, where you will have a varied job together with skilled and committed colleagues. You will work closely together with System Owners to drive the development of technical solutions from early concepts until verification and release of production drawings. We design some components in-house while others are standard. It should also be noted that we work in all sorts of material, not just wood. Our workshop is downstairs and there are great possibilities to work with physical prototypes and tests when needed.
As our company evolves, your role, responsibilities and deliverables might change with it.
Tasks will include:
• Your main task will be to develop and design components and sub-systems for our wind turbine tower, from early concept generation to detailed design and production drawings.
• Develop CAD models and drawings.
• Ensure correct structure and documentation in the PLM system.
• Project work and participation in a lot of fun activities with the Modvion teams!
We're looking for
Someone with a passion for technology and a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar. You should have a couple of years of engineering design experience, preferably working with different materials and products.
You have extensive experience in CAD, preferably Solid Works. 3D modelling is an important part of the role.
It is meritorious to have experience in cooperation with suppliers and other business contacts as well as internal departments.
As a person you are curious, and you enjoy teamwork. You perform your tasks in an accurate and structured way while addressing uncertainties and change with an open and flexible mind. You also use your curiosity to extend our solid knowledgebase in what can be achieved by using wood in new ways.

The position is based at our office and HQ in Gothenburg with the opportunity to work from home when needed.
