Sol Voltaics improves the efficiency of energy capture, generation and storage using miniscule amounts of nanomaterials. We are a fast-growing company developing a high volume production technology called Aerotaxy. Our nanowire solar cell technology improves efficiency of solar cells, contributing to a sustainable energy world.
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
The Design Engineer will work within the engineering team on the development and design of the Aerotaxy reactor and other associated equipment.
Working with the engineering team, you will develop existing hardware designs or develop new concepts into production worthy designs, always with a close eye on'design for manufacture?. You will need to support the rapid turnaround of new concepts to engineering drawings, ready for manufacturing.
The designer will be responsible for producing CAD models, engineering drawings and assemblies and for maintaining and developing the internal Product Data Management (PDM). It is very important to maintain up-to-date documentation to enable the procurement process (drawing revision control, approval workflow, bill of materials, etc.). You will also be responsible for providing supporting material for internal design reviews.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
Preferably you will have a Bachelor?s degree or equivalent qualification relevant to design and manufacturing and a minimum 5-10 years? experience working in a design role.
You will be proficient with CAD modelling (Solid Works is the CAD package at Sol Voltaics) and be able to produce manufacturing drawings and assemblies. You will have worked with specialist machine shops, be conversant with welding and joining processes and advanced manufacturing techniques.
You are flexible, organised and a self-motivated driver who can be relied on to contribute to projects being delivered on time. You are excited about being part of a high energy start-up and are prepared to help out with tasks that lie outside of your usual responsibility area when needed. The day-to-day work is in Lund, Sweden, but the position may require a limited amount of travel.
