hela Sverige You will have exciting and varied work where you will have contact with both customers and suppliers, work with both the local factory and the global organization within high voltage devices and have development opportunities within the areas of calculation and design or as a project manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing our products, creating drawings and technical documentation, as well as calculations.
You will also be in charge of problem solving, have technical discussions with clients, develop suppliers and work with research and development and product care projects.
To succeed in the role, you have a mechanical engineering degree, combined with relevant work experience in the area. In addition, you have good knowledge of Creo 3D-CAD, different manufacturing methods as well as casting and machining processes. You have material knowledge of metallic and polymeric materials, assembly and production.
Moreover, you have worked in a global environment and it is a merit if you have worked in the manufacturing industry and/or have been a consultant in mechanical engineering. You are familiar with working with tools like CAD and FEM.
Please note that it is an important requirement to have excellent skills in English, written and spoken alike. Swedish is preferred and other language skills are considered a merit.
We are now looking for a Design Engineer for our High Voltage Technology Center, Circuit Breakers & Drives team in Ludvika. High Voltage Products is a business unit within the Power Grids division that develops, manufactures and markets high voltage products for HVAC and HVDC systems, such as surge arresters, breakers, instrument transformers, capacitors, cooling systems and cable accessories.
You will be part of High Voltage Technology Center. We provide technical expertise to our development projects and product care. We also participate in global R&D projects within Live Tank Breakers product areas. The department has 35 employees, the team about 15.
