Purpose of the job
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for separately agreed areas of the country financial controlling organization. The main responsibilities for the country controlling team are statutory reporting, overseeing the monthly financial IFRS reporting, tax compliance, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. You will interact with several stakeholder groups including our Global Business Services center, various corporate functions such as tax, treasury, and legal, as well as local business entities and governmental agencies in Sweden.
Main responsibilities
Ensuring compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations
Identifying accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions
Key role in ensuring correct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing figures and coordinating closing processes
Taking part in controlling compliance to local and group policies
Support in improving local financial accounting processes
Responsible for agreed tax controls and/or tax reporting to authorities
Assisting in coordinating audit processes for Swedish units
Responsible for agreed internal controls
Who are you?
University degree in Finance or equivalent qualifications
Previous accounting, tax accounting, audit experience (minimum 5-7 years)
Understanding of Swedish laws and regulations impacting financial management
Ability to work independently
Good communication skills and command of English and Swedish.
Willing to leave your desk and get to know people and the operations of the company
