Indirect Purchasing (IDP) is supporting all functions in Volvo Cars with sourcing of non-production material and services. IDP's mission is to get the best value of ownership for the products bought.
The department Strategy & Operational Excellence consists of 14 persons. The department is responsible for setting the strategic direction to ensure purchasing excellence by securing clear strategies, operational and quality excellence in all business areas as well as providing project management support for key sourcing's within IDP.
The group is responsible for developing and improving IDP's operating processes, procedures, contract templates and IT systems. The team defines sustainability and quality requirements and drives assessments of IDP's supplier base. Building competence in Indirect Purchasing as well as supporting buyers and managers with advice and expertise is part of the team's responsibility.
The Contract Manager shall be the Purchasing organisation's first point of contact in all legal matters. Contract Manager shall provide Volvo Cars Purchasing organisation with legal support in all kind of purchasing related legal matters of non-complex up to medium complex nature or risk, including but not limited in:
* Providing legal advice on the interpretation of template agreements
* Train buyers in contract understanding
* Assisting buyers in negotiations with external parties
* Providing solutions and drafting revised contractual provisions as a result of negotiations with external parties
* Initiating the development of new templates.

Required qualifications
* Master of law (Sw. Jur kand) and/ or practice required to practicing law in the relevant jurisdiction.
* Minimum 3 years of experiences in practising business law at a law firm and/or in-house.
* Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken
* Solid experience and knowledge of relevant legal areas.
Meritorious qualifications
* Possesses sufficient knowledge and experience in relevant legal areas to handle the key responsibilities
* Drafting skills
* Proven understanding of the business, the business strategies and goals along with a basic financial understanding and awareness.
* Proven analytical skills and experienced in making decision, developing solutions or judgments within relevant legal areas.
* Experience of purchasing of goods and/or services

* Excellent communication skills

* You embracing change - being able to act as change ambassador.
* You are Independent and is able to plan and organise the work within the framework and time agreed with relevant stakeholders. You are also able to provide the Purchasing organization with legal advice and support in non-complex up to medium complex matters with none or limited supervision and guidance from Group Legal.
