Our primary focus is YAM (Youth Aware of Mental health), an evidence-based school-based program for young people ages 13-17. Through an inclusive and youth-led dialogue about mental health, we have seen that YAM helps grow solidarity and peer support among young people. Research has shown that YAM is effective in preventing depression and suicide attempts.
MHiM is an R&D company created with support from Karolinska Institutet Innovations AB. We are a Stockholm based operation, but our work is worldwide and primarily in English. We are looking for a Communications Responsible to coordinate our external communications with current international partners as well as new partners implementing YAM. This position plays an important role in MHiM's efforts to develop sustainable relationships with institutions and organizations doing YAM across the world, such as departments of education and public health.
As youth advocates, our passion and competence in empowering young people resonates in all our work and communications. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in communications and public relations for a similar organization, and wide-ranging interest in all forms of intellectual activity and a passion for interdisciplinary engagement and social impact. The candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English and native speakers are preferred.
