What you will be a part of
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
Aeronautics main site is located in Linköping, Sweden. There is an installed customer base globally and we are constantly looking for new business opportunities in new markets. With a sales oriented organisation and a growing interest in our products the tempo is always high. The need for a rapid and well structured communication is constant for all parts of our business.
Your role
We are now looking for a new Communications Manager to join our team.The communication unit is part of the group Communication matrix organisation with different responsibilities. The business areas, Aeronautics being one of them, are responsible for developing consistent messages for their products and solutions as well as internal communication. There are also market areas responsible for adapting and executing communication within special geographic markets, and corporate Communications responsible for governance and overall priorities and Projects.
Working as a Communications Manager, you will wokr in close co-operation with our Sales & Marketing function as well as with our Market Areas. You will be part of the Aerounatics Communication team and report directly to the Head of Aeronautics Communication. Occasional work trips of some duration are to be expected.
Your responsibilities will, amongst other things, include:* Developing communication strategies and messages.* Following up on communication activities.* Being part of both production and ordering of marketing materials, such as photos, film.* Giving communication support to salespersons as well as managers and employees.* Project management.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for a person who has experience of working with communication in an international company. You have good knowledge of working with strategic communication and production of various material - preferably with a substantial digital component. Knowledge about how to use modern communication technologies and tools to meet different target groups is an important ingredient. A relevant education is desirable.
You have the ability to think strategically and tactically as well as work operationally, working hands-on within the communication area. It is also essential that you can link communication efforts to business value.You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Other language skills are also appreciated.
This position includes access to classified information, therefore you are required to conduct a security screening in accordance with the Protective Security Act and be approved for security clearance by the authority.
