teknisk fysik.
Group Intellectual Asset Management
The shift in society to a knowledge based economy and the shift of SKF to a knowledge engineering company lead to new business conditions in which the role of technology based Intellectual Property
(IP) and technology based Intellectual Assets have increased in importance.
This leads to that SKF builds up a central Intellectual Asset Management function dealing with supporting technology development and exploitation and support intersections to management, IP law, and
business economics. Group Intellectual Asset Management is part of Group Development Services which is included within Group Technology Development & Quality.
Key responsibilities
You will provide support to SKF units globally by
• Working with technology from a techno economic perspective
• Mapping technology based Intellectual Assets
• Developing, visualising and improving technology control positions of SKF products and technology
• Run and be part of Technology intelligence projects, with a strong focus on Patent intelligence, to assess technological and competitive profiles, strengths and weaknesses of both SKF technology
and external technology
• Support M&A projects
• Support exploitation of SKF technology from an Intellectual Asset viewpoint
To support the competence progress to become an Intellectual Asset Counsel, an internal training program with career levels and extending over five years has been developed. The program will be run
parallel to practical work. The program also includes training to learn drafting and prosecution of patent applications.
Qualifications and experiences
• Master's Degree in Mechanics, Physics, Electronics, or similar.
• Probably, you have a technical background with a strong business orientation. Documented training in ICM, such as CIP ICM program, is an advantage.
Competence and skills
• Establish and maintain a broad network and strengthen relationships
• Analytical skills and action oriented mindset
• Strong drive, conceptual thinking and ability to have a strategic overview
• Ability to take own initiatives and to individually plan your work
• Fluent in English and preferably one or two other languages
• Willingness to travel
