Your mission
In this position, you lead team of enterprise architects in the areas of Business Architecture, Information Architecture, Solutions Architecture, and Technical Architecture, and facilitate collaboration between architects and engineers in various forums and communities. Your goal is to drive agile and controlled business change to maximize business value from information technology. To meet strategic business objectives, you define enablers, platforms, and applications and you ensure a clear definition of common, unique, and shared applications, suppliers, or platforms across divisions.
You're responsible for finding the right balance between decentralized delivery and smart collaboration. With your deep understanding of technology domains, architectural patterns, and emerging trends, you design scalable and efficient architectures and make informed technology choices. You tackle complex challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and design adaptable architectures. You represent the SMS business area in alignment with Sandvik Group IT, as well as build relationships with our divisions Enterprise Architects.
You report to the CIO of Sandvik Machining Solutions and are based in Sweden, preferably Stockholm or Sandviken. Some international travel is a natural part of your job during normal circumstances.
Your character
We're looking for someone with a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, IT, or another related field. You have proven experience in several architecture fields - business , information, solution and technical - across multiple functional areas and technology platforms. Knowledge of cloud architecture and transformation, preferably in a multi-cloud environment, is desired. Understanding APIs and integration, as well as big data and advanced analytics, is also important, while experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in sales, R&D, supply chain or finance, is a plus. You also have a strong understanding and curiosity about existing, new, and emerging technologies. Lastly, being an experienced storyteller is beneficial in this role. As we act on a global scene, fluency in verbal and written English is a requirement.

You have critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals. Additionally, you have a high level of integrity, reliability and an execution mindset - with a focus on getting things from idea to action.
