Euroclear Sweden is looking for a Chief Compliance Officer to be based in Stockholm
As the Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer You will be in charge of ensuring the adequate end-to-end functioning of the Euroclear Sweden compliance & ethics function. We are looking for a highly qualified compliance officer who has already gained strong compliance experience and track record in regulations, standards and best practices.
The Compliance & Ethics Division is a dynamic team responsible for providing advice on Compliance & Ethics issues for the Euroclear group.
Compliance serves an integral part of the 'Three Lines of Defence ', helping to protect the integrity and enhance the reputation of Euroclear in the market.
Your role
Euroclear Sweden Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer, with a reporting line to both the local CEO and the group Compliance and Ethics Management, with direct access to the chair of the local Audit Committee.
You will be in charge of ensuring the adequate end-to-end functioning of the Euroclear Sweden compliance function:
developing, operating and maintaining a high quality compliance & ethics program; understanding and meeting the expectations of the regulator; further improving compliance & ethics culture and awareness; convincing and advising business owners about the implementation of their own compliance & ethics controls; contributing to the execution and maintenance of the compliance, risk-based monitoring and testing program (Legal Internal Control Accountability - LICA); providing reports to the local Senior Management and recommendations for presentation to the regulator and senior governance bodies locally and across the group (Group Risk Committee/Management Committees/Audit & Risk Committees); supporting the implementation of corrective action plans to address control gaps; contributing to the group-wide compliance initiatives and projects; capturing legal and business evolutions and their impact on the compliance program.
You may need to travel occasionally to Brussels.
Your profile
You have:
• 10+ years of relevant experience in compliance or legal services in Sweden;
a critical and analytical mindset; the ability to combine technical expertise together with a drive for business development; proven ability to multi-task and deliver according to deadlines; solid project management skills; proven teamspirit and cooperative mindset; people management skills; good writing, presentation and influencing skills. Swedish and English are a must; Excellent communication and presentation skills in Swedish and English. Proficiency in other languages being an asset; commitment to continuously improving everything we/you do.
You are:
able to work autonomously, a good negotiator with strong influencing skills; well organized, self-motivated, committed,responsible and able to work under pressure; detailoriented but also able to step back and see the bigger picture; risk-aware; pragmatic; able to quickly build and maintain relationships with other internal parties.
