hela Sverige As a chemists you will be responsible for the development and implementation of new innovative seed coating and pelleting treatments, primarily for sugar beet and vegetable seeds. Once you are established in the role you will have a strong basic understanding of seed coating processes and the interaction between coating and the physiology of seeds, germination and seedling growth. You will be called upon to solve technical problems at Syngenta sites around the world.
You will be expected to address the transfer novel seed coating, pelleting and other technologies to commercial scale operations. You will be working with manufacturing, engineering and commercial colleagues as well as scientist from other departments at other sites in both supporting and leading roles.

For this position we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with the following qualifications:
• A PhD in chemistry or equivalent qualification /relevant experience.
• You have extensive knowledge in physical chemistry preferably with focus on colloid & surface chemistry and/or formulation or alternatively material science.
• We see it as a great advantage if you have prior experience of working with plants or other living material.
• You are expected to have experience of working independently to tackle complex problems and you should have documented experience of project management.
• Prior relevant work experience in a commercial environment is an advantage.
• Experience from, and willingness to, work in production environment is highly beneficial.
• We see it as an advantage if you have experience from working within international multidisciplinary project teams.
• You have a passion for technical and scientific innovation and problem solving in boundaries between chemistry and plant physiology
• As a person you are innovative, analytical and creative. You have excellent social and communication skills. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
• You master English in speech and writing. Fluency in Swedish is an advantage.
