Varje år arrangeras tusentals aktiviteter och kurser på anläggningarna och i föreningens ungefär 65 lokalavdelningar. STF ger ut medlemstidningen Turist. Helårsanställda är cirka 250 och STF omsätter ungefär 330 miljoner kronor.

STF Abisko Mountain Station is the most Northern mountain station run by the Swedish Tourist Association, and it is situated in the Abisko National Park. It has been here for 120 years. We have 377 beds, a KRAV-certified restaurant, KRAV certified shop which includes sports rental equipment, we have a funicular and guided tours. Our guests come from all over the world all around the year.
Working in Abisko is much more than just a job; it's a way of life. Our unique location in the middle of a national park makes it easy to enjoy the spare time. The proximity to Norway with its fjords and its beautiful mountains is an extra perk.

At Abisko Mountain Station the food is part of our guests overall experience, and for us it is important to pay full attention on our courses and that they are cooked with good ingredients. The White Guide nominated restaurant offers our guests service between 7.30 am to 10 pm, including breakfast, lunch buffet and a three course dinner. We actively prepare our dishes with KRAV-certified products and incorporate the Scandinavian culinary heritage.
The chefs at the mountain station mainly work the evening shift, but day shifts including lunch are also a possibility. In the evening a three course meal and at least another dish is served, and it is usually the highlight of the day for many of our guests.
We are looking for chefs who are meticulous, who can work independently as well as in a team and who can deliver good quality under time pressure. You put that extra final touch on your creation and can at the same time learn from and contribute to your colleagues. We work hard to have an open and respectful environment in the kitchen where everyone feels involved, and where we help each other as a team.
Other aspects that are of interest to the position:
• Salary and benefits are according to the HRF-Visita union contract
• The position is seasonal and the workload is between 80% and 100% of a full time position
• The season starts on June 10 and lasts until September 30. We are especially keen on persons who can work in the month of September.
• We offer living accommodation in our new personnel residence, including your own room, toilet and shower, and where you share a kitchen and other common areas with your peers.
