We are currently looking for a Category & Shopper Insights Manager to join Essity's Nordic Customer Marketing team.
You will work closely with the local Customer Marketing Teams, unlocking insights and foresights within Baby, Intimate Hygiene and Consumer Tissue categories. You will be the one delivering relevant information and findings in time to support the business in making correct strategic and operational decisions.
This position is preferably based in our office in Gothenburg, but can be based in any of our offices in the Nordics and you will report to the Category & Shopper Insights Manager.



Main Tasks
Facilitate the transfer of insights into arguments & actions to develop and grow the business. Make all relevant data and insights easy accessible across all major stakeholders of the business to support them in their long term and day to day goals
Train the organization to understand data, trends and insights
Prepare and give presentations and workshops for internal and external stakeholders
Manage continuous data for market, channel, customer, category and shopper from internal and external sources. Provide business relevant data and standardized reports to stakeholders
Use input from internal and public sources on regional and local macro-economic trends
Initiate shopper research by category and channel, identify path to purchase and provide recommendations to develop and grow the business both on- and offline
Contribute to best practice sharing and participate in networks, both internal and external. Transfer learnings and address business needs considering best available solutions in the market.
Lead or participate in projects

As a Category & Shopper Insights Manager you will be the one planning and executing insights activities. You will support the local Nordic Customer Marketing teams by making insights easy available and actionable. The Category and Shopper Insights Manager will support creation of the category vision and drivers, lead the translation to regional and local needs and ensure understanding in the organization.

Key Competencies
University degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or Economics
Minimum 5 years relevant working experience, incl. Marketing or Customer Marketing, and Insights Experience from FMCG, agencies or trade
Excellent communication and presentation/facilitation skills
Collaborative team player attitude, preferably with experience from matrix organizations
Strong analytical skills with experience from Nielsen and GfK panel data
Negotiation capabilities with regards to agency contacts
Proven track record in managing projects, ideally with international scope
Fluent in English and preferably one or more other relevant languages
Ability to travel 20-40 days

Furthermore, we see that you have a passion for shopper understanding and for bringing insights into action. You are proactive, with strong own drive for results and prepares to take lead and influence through others. You have a commercial awareness with good understanding of Category Management, Sales and Marketing processes.
