We offer our customers services in three business areas; interim logistics and procurement consultants, recruitment of buyers and logisticians, as well as development of our customers' supply chain operations in terms of strategies, models, methods, processes, structure and competence.
On behalf of our customer we are looking for an experienced category manager for a long-term assignment at a company in Kista, north of Stockholm.
The role
The assignment as category manager involves responsibility for creation of category plans. You are to perform spend analysis, assess sourcing maturity, understand trends in the industry, Kraljic analysis, etc. Along with stakeholders in the line organization and in procurement you are to create a strategy for the spend category and see to that category plans are being updated, by regularly engaging with stakeholders and follow up on progress. Furthermore, you are actively contributing in the execution of initiatives like pre-studies, strategic sourcing initiatives, etc.
Experience and competence
The right candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in procurement and a relevant higher degree from university or similar. You need to have a background in category management from at least two different organizations, to get a holistic view of what category management can comprise, and what good category management looks like. Strong insights and knowledge from at least two separate spend categories is required. We want you to have strong skills in Excel and PPT as well as strong communicational skills. A background as a management consultant is a big advantage.
