We are currently recruiting for a Carbody Additions Engineer in our Passengers Division in Västerås, Sweden.
The Job Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for Dimensioning, design and calculation of air ducts, cable ducts, mounting beams, air piping and crash absorbers, in the meaning of adding functions to a car body shell.
Key Accountabilities:
• Design of parts in 3D
• Calculation of flow, space or structural strength
• Interaction with Concept Integration Engineers
• Contact with suppliers for material data, performance or material choice.
• Interaction with Systems & Product Engineers
Education and Experience required:
• Bs or Ms in Mechanical Engineering, Structural calculations
• Minimum of 1 year experience (work or research experience)
• Knowledge of 3D CAD Design Tool as well as Calculation Tool
• Structured approach and excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Math Lab, Ansys or Nastran would be an advantage
• Willingness to travel to Europe on a regular basis
• Experience of any calculation work
• Fluent English is a must as well as Swedish
