hela Sverige Opera is looking for C++ developers with strong problem-solving skills for our Mantle Team. Mantle is an internal team making new, common functionality for the next generation of browsers, and
providing simple APIs for that and for Web technology.
The Web technology APIs provided by Mantle are used on most devices running Opera and end up in millions of products made by major brands such as Sony, Motorola, Nintendo, and Sony Ericsson. All
Mantle code is made platform independent, so it can run on just about any processor and any OS.
If you are motivated by challenging problems and like to hide advanced solutions behind simple and powerful APIs, then this is the job for you. This is your chance to influence the daily life of
millions of people using Opera on phones, TVs, game consoles, and more.
Responsibilities
Provide APIs for
• Animation and graphics, including GPU integration
• Threading
• Web technology
• Optimization for speed, memory usage, code footprint
• Requirements
• Good knowledge of English
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Diligence to structure code, document it and create simple, powerful APIs.
• Enthusiasm and motivation for working with complex problems
• Strong programming skills
