The Boss Media Interactive Video Terminals (IVT) division provides its customers with the new generation of server-based gaming terminals for use in venues such as casinos, restaurants and public spaces. The product line is the fastest growing business unit within the company and has rendered much success in the past year with exceptional growth.
Since the product relies on a systems architecture where each gaming terminal is always connected to a central server and new games and features can be uploaded and controlled via the central server cluster, the demands on uptime, performance and scalability are key to the future success for the product. We are now looking for a Service Operations Manager to secure the future growth and success of the business.
Responsibilities and Authority
Responsibilities
• Interact with both customers and in-house development team ensuring system stability and customer satisfaction
• Evaluate and ensure optimal architecture set-up for the servers and distributed system
• Implement and verify system optimizations for IVT server platform.
• Continually working of improving of IVT server platform functionality and stability.
• Together with the development team (which you are part of) ensure the uptime, stability and scalability of the system
• Evaluate possible staging/testing environment solutions and have them implemented.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Authorities
Have the authority to act within the set budget frame and work description of the DBA role. No initial Staff Management duties.

Boss Media Overall goals, Business Unit goals including SLA and personal goals

Boss Media IVT Operations/Development division, Account Management and Customer
Competence profile
• Documented experience in high availability operations environments
• Good understanding of and experience in both Windows and Unix/Linux environment
• Experience in application and web servers is mandatory.
• Experience in SQL is mandatory
• Excellent knowledge in C++ programming language (mandatory)
• Good knowledge in other programming languages is an advantage.
• Fluent proficiency in oral and written English.
