At Procurement and Excellent Exterior team, you are part of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Ensuring the supply of sustainable materials and services - at the right cost, quality and technology - is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. Ultimately, it's all about cooperating with people inside and outside the company to create a superior experience for the people who moves in a Volvo Car.
As Buyer you will together with the group be responsible for activities through the complete production lifecycle of concerned parts, such as sourcing of new projects, change management and negotiation of running business. We develop a global sustainable supplier base and commodity strategies as well as maintaining existing supplier relationships.
Example on parts we buy at Excellent Exterior are lighting, mirrors, washer/vipers and functional parts within the engine compartment or under body.
What you'll do
• Lead and perform sourcing activities and commercial negotiations
• Responsible for cooperation with internal customers.
• Develop and implementation of commodity strategies.
• Responsible for identifying and implementing cost reductions in cooperation with suppliers and internal customers.
• Ordering and handling of agreements etc.
• Responsible for developing and optimizing the supplier base

To succeed in this role, you have a Business or Technical University degree (or equivalent).
You have experience from Commercial and/or Marketing work (3-5 year) including commercial negotiations and legal knowledge.
You also have a strong business acumen and analytical skills, combined with high integrity and can prioritize your own work and always delivery on time.
We work globally, so excellent communication skills (written and oral) in both English is a requirement.
Supplier relations are important, where your excellent communication skills, is a great ability.
Daily negotiation is also one of your strongest area.
