The newly formed Accumulator and Cooler Division is part of the Hydraulics Group Europe. The Division employs approx. 300 across 4 countries in Europe (2 x UK, France, Sweden and Italy).
This successful applicant will play a key role in finalizing the integration of the Business Unit (which was part of the Olaer aquisition) into Parker, develop and implement a business plan achieving signifcant profitable growth and for an ambitious professional, the role is a great opportunity to further build their career.

Job Purpose:
The business unit is responsible for Cooler products which are new and unique to Parker. The location currently has approx 50 employees with a turnover of $40m. The BUM will develop and grow the business and provide leadership for the location accross all areas. They will be a driving force in the continued integration into Parker.
Key Accountabilities:
• To profitably grow the Business Unit consistently and annually. Through the Sales Companies and Business Development Managers, works with current and potential customers to promote and leverage company technologies, systems, products and services.
• Establishes and maintains premier customer service. Leads by example.
• Leads strategy deployment for the Business Unit including Lean Initiatives, Strategic Pricing and Strategic Procurement. Leads Operating, Manufacturing, Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources, Lean Accounting, Planning, Sales/Marketing, Quality, Safety and New Product Development functions to ensure operational efficiency and economy.
• Accountable for driving Lean Initiatives, Strategic Procurement and Strategic Pricing initiatives throughout the operation to ensure they are fully embraced and implemented.
• Develops a budget plan and manages the business unit within budget constraints.
• Maintains familiarity with competitive environment within geographical area of responsibility.
• Drives growth for the BU as this is a new product - leverage the Parker sales channels
• Represents the operation at the Business Unit and Division levels.
• Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, retaining, mentoring,
• training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and
• results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
• Ensures that the Business Unit conform to government regulations. Promotes Business Unit within industry, manufacturing, trade associations and local community.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:
• Commercial experience from sales and marketing .
• Experience in managing a multi-functional team (engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing)
• Fluent in Swedish and English
• Five years of manufacturing/operations experience demonstrating a self-starting and hands-on quality.
• Experience/ knowledge of lean, procurement, engineering and quality
• Passionate about 'office' improvements with experience of leading process improvements across different office functions with sustainable results
• Demonstrable success in implementing improvement programs.
Education and Aptitude:
• Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Business, preferred
• Strong Customer Service orientation
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, coaching and communication skills
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and execute
• Willingness to travel
• Must be able to influence others, at all levels of the organisation
• Position is based in Stockholm
