Business Improvement Leader for Volvo Cars IT

A new global strategy and vision has been developed for IT in Volvo Car Corporation based on Designed Around You. Through five change themes, spanning the full breadth of IT activities, IT will realize and provide a competitive advantage for the entire company.

Volvo Cars IT is searching for Business Improvement Leaders to the Business Improvement Office (BIO). BIO is responsible for driving large scale improvement initiatives across the global IT organization.

As a Business Improvement Leader you will have a substantial impact on the future of IT in Volvo Car Corporation by being responsible for coordination and support of large scale change efforts, involving multiple programs, projects, organizations and geographies. Further position responsibilities include driving and managing improvement programs, ensuring that they perform according to plan and that the goals and objective remain aligned to the overall strategic objectives of the organisation.

In the short term, the holder of this position will act as a Change Theme lead in the global IT transformation.

Job profile:
• Champion in changing vision across the organization and lines of business
• Actively shape, drive and support a cohesive change journey, roadmap through multiple channels, e.g. programs, projects and line activities
• Continuously monitor and qualify overall improvement program effectiveness compared to change vision and business benefits sought, identify adjustments as needed
• Identify and manage change stakeholders to ensure engagement and understanding of change vision and benefits
• Initiate and manage programs and projects
• Iinteract with each program or project manager to provide support and guidance on the individual projects
• Convey important relationship of each project to the bigger picture, including the larger program and organisational performance objectives
• Review and determine program progress and overall risks
• Communication and presentations related to the IT Transition

You will be responsible for:
• Change vision and journey management, including roadmap definition and maintenance
• Ensuring that the change deliverables can be integrated into the organization and will realize sought business benefits
• Ensuring that the project deliverables can be integrated into the programs end product, service, result and business benefits
• Stakeholder management, including identify stakeholders, understand their needs and expectation and develop a stakeholder management plan to engage affected stakeholders, manage their expectation and improve their acceptance of change vision and roadmap. Based on the stakeholders input develop KPIs that are reported according to the Communication plan.
• Ensure alignment of the individual project plans, with the program goals and benefits.

Your profile:
• Strategic visioning and planning skills to align program goals and benefits with the long-term goals of the organization
• Rigorous analytical capability to generate insights about business performance improvement and IT value creation opportunities
• People skills, especially political skills (political savvy)
• Strong communication skills
• Strong Presentation and Powerpoint Skills
• Leadership skills are needed for managing multiple program teams throughout the program life cycle.
• Technical program management skills
• University education, Master's degree or equivalent
• Operational Experience is valued
