Job Description and Responsibilities
This is an exciting role for a resourceful, ambitious and energetic sales & business development specialist who enjoys leading from the front.
The successful applicant must be able to manage both product sales of in vitro products and the creation of high profile R&D partnerships with pharmaceutical companies within the rapidly developing stem cell field.
Skills/Attributes
• 3-5 years sales and deal-making experience from the life science sector.
• Experience from negotiating R&D collaborations or service agreements with pharmaceutical companies in particular.
• Experience from generating sales growth in the life science research tools business (preferably cell based or toxicology products).
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
• Interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The candidate will analyze, coordinate and pursue business opportunities. Specifically, the candidate will identify new partners/customers and continually develop existing relationships with the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries as well as with Contract Research and Manufacturing Organizations. A strong network in the Pharma/CROs/CMOs industry is a plus.
The position requires 30% time in travel, mostly within Europe.
Salary: Based on experience
Location: Takara Bio Europe sites in Gothenburg, Sweden, or in Paris, France are the preferred options.
